the pink one and the purple one

Though I never thought I'd be one of those moms...I really do get a kick out of dressing the girls alike. I mean, we don't do it every day but it happens on occasion. Recently though, the girls' Grandmom (a big provider of the fabulous frocks the girls have) has branched out from the totally matching outfits and into coordinating clothes. Similar but not exactly the same. Today the girls wore cute little tops, jeans, matching hairbows and their sneakers. (Please note the footwear choice as it took much convincing that they would not need their snow boots. I had to promise a boot-wearing snowy romp after school as part of the tense negotiation process.)

I think the girls will be gung-ho on the coordinating outfits far past matching ones. I speak from experience...Kiki and I were well into elementary school before we bucked the coordinating trend. Oh who the hell am I kidding? Kiki and I showed up on Christmas Eve wearing the exact same top (well, hers was the maternity version) in the exact same color. Neither of us changed.

I am definitely the mom that coordinates (tss.tss....)boys! I love it and I know my days are numbered...so I'm enjoying every minute of my madras plaids, preppy looks and embroidered critter pants! Cute pictures of the girls!!

I love coordinating my 5yo G/B twins and their 3yo sister. It's getting more subtler...but it's there. I hope I can get a few more years out of this!!!

There's a mom that comes with her girls (3 yo and 18 mo) to therapy and they're are always coordianted from some Gymboree line. They are so cute.

Rachel and Jake will have none of it, but I try to at least have complimentary colors for big picture days.

Melissa and I showed up to church in the same outfit last week. It's just good genes I think.

Iused to coordinate the boys when they were little too. Now that they are teenagers does it count as coordination if they are all wearing Abercrombie shirts?
