"E, do you want water to drink at dinner?"I figured I should take her to the doctor to be safe. I called the peditrician and secured a morning appointment. I told John as we were getting coats on the girls so we could figure out who would take her.
"What?"
"Do you want water to drink at dinner?"
"What?"
"DO YOU WANT WATER TO DRINK AT DINNER!?!?!"
"What?"
"E has a 9:50 appointment with the doctor."I have no idea where my girls love of going to the doctors comes from, but I find it highly disturbing. I mean, I guess it's much better than having traumatic experiences, but really kids? Why is it fun?
"YES!" E screamed while jumping up and down.
"I sick, too!" A started yelling. She yanked up her shirt as if she was trying to earn some beads at Mardi Gras. "My belly hurt, Daddy! I go to doctor, too!"
In the end, while E did not have an ear infection per se, there was enough fluid coupled with the hearing loss to justify antibiotic. E was pretty psyched to take it tonight, along with Motrin. But immediately after taking it, she told me,
"The medicine's not working, mama. I think I need to go back to the doctors tomorrow."Kids can be so weird.

Ok not fair. Mikayla latches on to me like a leach. I don't even like the doctor.
My kids are pretty good troopers about the doctor, but I've never had that experience. You are one lucky mama.
This is priceless. I hope they feel the same way about the dentist!
My kids like the doctor fine, but they go ape-$#!% for medicine. I joke that they will be the first-ever pediatric clients at Betty Ford.
My kids do not like the doctor but LOVE medicine...I hope she feels better soon....
