winter wonderland

We woke up to a little snow falling this morning. The schools are closing left and right. The girls' school is closing early today, but I'm working from home in case I need to pick them up even before that. I hope I get too, since I made a mad dash to Target yesterday and scored some snow pants and boots for the girls on clearance. I have visions of snowman making and hot cocoa before this thing turns to sleet and ice and freezing rain.

While I didn't break out snow pants, I let the girls stomp to school in the boots this morning. I was concerned that they would not like the boots since they weren't pink...but they didn't even notice or care. We did throw in "real" shoes for them to wear while at school...but I think we all know that wasn't really necessary.

Here's sending snow wishes your way! I'm a Raleigh based faithful fan/lurker, and we had great snow last week (7 inches, lots of sledding and a few snow days from school/work) so my 5 year old had a blast! Good luck...

It's so great that the girls will get to play in snow! Nothing like it - except the hot chocolate after.

Have fun!

I'm headed to Target tonight...we are supposed to get 4-12 inches (nothing like being specific, huh?) of snow tonight and R's snow pants are laugh-out-loud funny/too small. I hope I score some before any other moms run out...

I was bummed that Sean had class tonight. That means I might have to go play in the snow with the girls. I know... I am no fun.
