artsy craftsy

After dinner last night, E told me she wanted to color. Since A was still strapped in her booster, I broke out the plastic table cloth, crayons and construction paper and let the girls have at it. At first, they were all about the coloring.Resident Artist
At least she doesn't eat the crayons! But that quickly disintegrated into crayon wrapper removal for E....Is it purple...or grape? We'll never know. And a rousing game of peek-a-boo with the table cloth for A.Peek-a-boo!

Great pics! Our play room has become covered in confetti sized pieces of paper from Jake's cutting exercises. As much as I used to brag about letting the kids do arts and crafts at home, I've had to hide the scissors, paint, stamps, and markers from Jake. He's a tornado and my walls and closet floor show the proof. Guess I'll have to do more at home once school's out though.

Jenn, I'm totally with you on the scissors (or as E calls the zissors). E *loves* to cut...so she'll bring home about 1,000 scraps of paper home from daycare as a present for me. Every single day.

I always thank her and tell her they are going in my "special file". You know...the trash.
