in your face, aap!

The other day I was talking to Miss Mandy, one of A's teachers at school. She of course was telling me how A is by far her favorite student and the cutest as well how much A has been talking of late.
"I also love how she counts to 10 in spanish! I ask her to do it every day because it is so cute," she told me.
"I know! It cracks me up!" I replied.
"The first time she did it, I was so suprised!" Miss Mandy said.
"Wait a minute...you guys didn't teach her that at school?" I asked.
"No," Miss Mandy said. "I thought you did."
"No," I replied. "I thought you did."
Miss Mandy shrugged, "Maybe she learned it from watching Dora."
So there you have it. If we had followed the AAP's rules...my kid would be at least two months behind counting to ten in Spanish. Score one for TV!
