maybe she's lovesick?

Last night, A was running a little hot. Actually, she was running a lot hot. So much so I didn't even bother taking her temperature...I was pretty sure she had a fever. So we gave her some Tylenol and sent her to bed. She woke up around 6:30 this morning, snuggled with me for a few minutes and slept until after 8. Clearly, she's not feeling well. So she'll be spending Valentine's Day in the comfort of her own home today.

Luckily, it's Valentine's Day, so I was able to stave off any massive tantrums by E wanting to stay home by hyping how much fun she was going to have exchanging valentines and...well that's it. Because our lame-o school and their nazi food rules have prevented them from having actual parties today. There was also bribing with candy at breakfast and a Dora poster (from the Valentines I bought and signed in 15 minutes lovingly crafted by hand). We also bucked the uniform rule so that E could wear her cute heart T-shirt courtesy of Grandmom.

Along the lines of love...I got to pick the girls up a little early last night (the commuter gods blessed me with a 1/2 hour commute last night!). And, so E had been moved into another classroom, but a few of her classmates were still in her classroom. E went around and gave them each a *huge* hug and a kiss. It's so sweet to see her interact with her little friends. Even if she did give a BOY a kiss last night!
