what a difference a few years makes

Yesterday, my (younger, unmarried, childless) co-worker/friend stopped by my cube to ask a question. My purse was sitting right by him...he happened to glance in. All of the sudden he had this strange look on his face. He reached in and pulled out...some Mardi Gras beads.

It took quite a bit of convincing that they were, in fact, part of one of E's ensembles rather than a little something I...ahem...earned while out and about over the weekend.

And, maybe, last decade he might of been right. But seeing as my weekends are considered "wild and crazy" if I make it up past 11:30...not so much.

Sad thing is, we have some actual Mardi Gras beads (from big R's trip there over 10(!) years ago). They now are in our dress up clothes that my niece uses when she comes over to play with R and G.

Ah, memories of your bachlorette party. I have never, NEVER, NEVER been so hungover in my life. And that plane ride home - it's a wonder any of us even had kids!
