child geniuses

A's new trick is giving us kisses. It is so freaking cute I can hardly stand it. Her version of kissing is opening her mouth up wide and slobbering on your face. She mainly does it when asked...but tonight she grabbed my face and planted one on me. I was in heaven!

Her other trick is that she's starting to sign a little bit more. Tonight she used milk, more and all done. I tried to show her book and fan...she seemed to understand. She's about the same age as E when she started picking up a few signs, so we'll see. While somewhat helpful in figuring out what they want when they can't talk, I really think signs are more of a cool party trick than anything else.

Not to be outdone...E has a new vocabulary word, too. It's "wedgie" and it gets used a lot in our house. Mainly, when I see her dancing around or fidgeting with her pants our conversation goes like this:
"E, what's going on? Do you have to go potty?"
"No, Mommy."
"Whatchya doing then?"
"Oh. I just have a wedgie."

Classy. That's what we're teaching our kids to be.
