they got their way (of course)

I'm not going to lie, it wasn't looking good when I went to bed last night. There was supposed to be 1 to 3" of snow on the ground by 8PM...and it wasn't even sticking by 11PM. John and I were convinced that this storm was yet again going to be a let down.

So, imagine our surprise when we woke up to about 5 inches around the Slacker house. The girls' school was closed (as was pretty much everything around these parts). Both John and I worked from home and we took turns watching the girls. John did most of it while I worked (oh the joys of being paid by the hour!), and was a trooper through lots of crafts, some drawing and coloring and an afternoon screening of "The Little Mermaid."

Here are some pictures from the day...

Snow days always sound like fun to me, but in reality, it is just like every other day with more laundry and being stuck at home... I know, Debby Downer Here!

It's so nice to know that my daughter isn't the only one with Plumbers crack issues. haha. They look like they were having a good time.
