blech

I'm not going to lie to you, I'm in a crappy mood today. Getting E to get dressed today was a major battle. A spilled chocolate milk all over the floor (yes, I know, chocolate milk at 8AM ... don't you judge me!). Work is just no fun right now and there's way too much to do. And, to top it off, the woman who waxed my eyebrows last night apparently felt like having a left eyebrow was "optional."

I do have some pictures from Monday to post. We met Marathon Mom and her brood at El Tio for some mexican food and face-painting. 'Cause nothing says "Ole!" like a sparkly-farkly unicorn on your forearm. And, I'm also going to annoy you again with a Disney post...since we are going in a week(!) and I oscillate between excitement and panic of all the crap I have to do to get ready.

But until then...make me feel better and help me procrastinate by leaving me comments. Really, it's the least you can do.

Pro-Kristin-ate on this:
We're driving back from Wintergreen this weekend and attempt the ultimate Good Planning. Before we left I created our week's menu and appropriate shopping list. I was set. And not only that, we decided it made a lot of sense to go to YOUR Wegmans instead of ours because it was on our way back.

Thirty minutes later, after Google Maps on my phone drove our all over your great city, we stop at a gas station by your house and ask someone and find that we're 2 minutes away, but the OTHER way.

The lesson: Having SlackerMama's work number in my cell phone does us no good when lost in SlackerVille.

Well, the bright side is that you have great excuses to drink on a Wednesday evening. Picture hand to forehead..."nothing has gone my way today...I have so much to do between now and next week" as your husband pours you a nice big fat glass of pinot, after which he jumps into full planning mode and starts making lists for packing, puts in a load of laundry, hands you the final trip itinerary and details all typed out, etc. Worth dreaming about, right? At least you can have the drink without ridicule.

As for the job, I am in a rut right now too, but after just walking to the nearby downtown children's museum to be a 3 hour chaperone for the kindergarten trip for my son's class, I am tired, miserable and all of a sudden my office/boss/pile of work looks appealing. The only lesson here is it could be worse, you could be a kindergarten teacher (for which I have an extremely newfound appreciation today...)

Hang in there...amazing how in life we are feast or famine - either 5 thousand things going on at once, or nothing and total boredom. No happy medium, but it will pass.

Have your wine and imagine your little girls the first time they see Cinderella's castle.

I'm personally going for vodka and pomegranate juice. The antioxidants much equal out the vodka therefore I can have twice as much...right?

You sound like me on Monday. I was ornery, bitchy, and unapologetic about it. Hopefully things will look up tomorrow...but if not, another glass of wine will help dull the blechs.

What's wrong with chocolate milk at 8 am?
